I'm sick and tired of the ATV manufacturers jerking us ATVers around. We get new graphics every year but nothing else. Polaris does a little more than that but who wants a POlaris? J/P I like POlaris. But anyway, Yamaha jerks us left and right and Im tirted of it. THere better be a carrot at the end of that stick. Honda came out with the 400EX, thats nice, now the are just going to do what they do to every other quad, let it sit there for 10 years. Kawasaki is messing with us with the race team and Suzuki lol I'm not even going to go there. Bombardiar looks promising but I would like to see a sport quad that we can afford. So back to my point, I'm sick of the manufacturers, I wish dirt wheels and 4WA ran all the manufactorers.

I feel Yamaha has done pretty well for thier utility line with the Kodiak and Big Bear improvements, I've always considered thier utility quads the best. I, too, am looking for another sport quad. Right now it's between a Banshee and a 400EX, but then you hear Yamaha is making the Banshee 400 cc's in 2001, and gonna put the YZ 400 motor in a quad. Polaris is supposedly coming out with a 500 cc twin cylinder this spring. Honda has something up thier sleeve for sure. I never was into Suzukis or Kaws, so that point is moot in my book.

I work at one of the manufacturers (I won't say who?)and you have no idea how much it costs the company to come up with a new design. The new tooling, testing and marketing cost is astronomical. Just because one of the "magazines" has an idea doesn't make it great by any means, after all is there opinion any greater than ours? If they were so wonderful why don't they make their own quads? In times like this, cost vs. value is the one of the biggest concerns manufactures have about new designs and innovations. You can't build a $10,000 race machine and sell it to the 'average joe' for $7500 It just doesn't make sense....and if you do you won't be in business for long.
