Rhinos ruining single track trails?????

I don't care how many posts you have, nor how many I have. I don't care that there are a half dozen threads with a few thousand replies that have no point. What annoys me is when members like you XS decide to go into a thread where there is actually discussion going on and throw it completely off topic. IMO you've made some very helpful and worthwhile posts, but that number is almost unnoticeable next to the continuous banter you've posted. And while I don't claim to be all that knowledgeable, I have spent a lot of posts trying to help others.
You can post all you want about whatever you want in your Bored thread and so can the spinners in their threads. But there's no need to ruin actual atv discussion threads just for something to do.
This is getting OT again, and that really defeats the point of me saying anything. So I'll just refrain from posting in this thread again until some relevant subject matter comes back up.

You bring out the best in me MD. What irritates me is when bitter people such as yourself have nothing better to do then b!tch about nothing. Disagreeing with others doesn't give you the right to be an a-hole either. We have enough problems without fighting amongst those that love offroading.

The 50inch rule was put in to keep large rigs out when alot of the tails wher made for jeeps WW11 leftover jeeps. In montana we still call them jeep roads. What happen was people started taking large 4x4 on them and making wider and wider. Them came jimmy Cater and its been down hill after that . So if we want yo keep what we have no.

I've been through the rockcrawling thing which is one reason I get pissed when people say you don't belong. Most of the jeepers hate bikes, the bikers hate jeeps and atvs, the atv guys are usually the ones on the fence. Guess, not anymore.
If it's illegal, fine...call the cops. More power to you. But spare the, "they tear up more stuff than we do" stories. I'm sure you can find isolated incidents but for the most part, that's a load of crap.

I've seen firsthand someone on a little 250 tearing up the trails. Was on there own private land, so i figure it's his business.
Just goes to show that be it a little quad or a huge rhino, it's the person, not the machine. I suppose we should outlaw all the new 800's that have come out too.
Sorry, didn't mean to post something relevant, Maddog. Michigan, huh. I guess I shouldn't be suprised.

Sidetracked again, although this time it may be simply a misunderstanding of the issue.
It's not about 'tearing up the trails'. It's about widening existing trails to accommodate a larger machine. Rhino's are not fire breathing trail eating monsters of the ATV world. They are just bigger and wider rides who'se owners sometimes feel entitled to take onto trails where they cannot go without some destructive landscaping.
And whether that is right or not.

Boy, sounds just like what the motorcycles complain about. "atv's can not go there without some destructive landscaping" Lets just ban them all!!!!
If it is posted with a 50" limit, then stay off.... if it is not, then shut the He** up and ride. The more we fight with ourselves, the more the environmentalist love it.
What do you think the bigger trucks do when you ban them??? They join the environmentalist and say " if we can not ride there, why should they? And another trail is closed!!!
If it is public land, it should be available to the public -that means all of us- horses to monster trucks and everything in between.
If you do not believe it...well it won't matter anyway because your trail will probably be closed soon anyway.

Somewhat off topic but related to a statement that was made in an earlier post. As a FYI to Rhino and other SxS owners, these vehicles are now ALLOWED on the Hatfield McCoy system (green trails only). A 90 day trial period was instituted and the trial period will be automatically extended unless cancelled.

I draw a line in the sand everytime I'am in it. Unless of course I'am wearing my undies.
