Is there any sort of mathematical formula for deciding how to build jumps? The length, height, slope, etc. If anyone knows, please help.

Does anyone know? I'm planning on building some bigger jumps, and need a little help with the big ones. Please help you have any idea. Thanks in advance.

what we do is just build the jump at the top of a small hill. then its going to be like a ski jump. all you have to build is the intial launching ramp. you won't have to calculate anything.

Dana Creech, 250A National Champion and Freestyle King, has a website with a section on building jumps. Check it out. www.danacreechracing.com. It's called 'Jump Building 101'

Good Question!! I has wondered about this for some time after seeing Wes Miller build that jump at the ski slopes when he flew over the road. Not much room for trial and error on something like this...

my friend ben has a 400EX and hes a skateboarder. what he does is basically builds a kicker ramp for the quad. we have one in our field. its only about 1 and a half feet high but u can get easily six feet in the air off it (bottom of second gear) and a good 30 feet out. a guy on a banshee was doing no footed can cans the day we built it.
