Just saying that hughs is the best and i dont know who could take the belt away from him.I think it would be cool to see a one night only open weight classes.Like the old UFC.Lets see tonight who else bites the dust in the ultimate fighter.

 

I love the UFC I have watched since it first started. But I really miss the tournament type fighting. They have that type in the PRIDE fighting I love it. I wrestled for 6 years and now my boys wrestle I had my boys trained by Dan Severns brother when they were in junior high he still trains kids here in phoenix his name is also Dan Severn he is a great guy but I would not want to get him mad it would be like trying to take on a grizzly bear. He is huge.

 

Believe it or not i got trained by dan severn in my home town area in fighting.Hes a wide as a truck.Tought me excellent submissions.I learned alot.

Yes, I miss the tournament style of UFC from the original. I dont like the weight classes. What happen to 175lbs Joyce Gracie fighting a 450+lbs Sumo. That was cool watching fights like that.

The game has evolved, and theres no way for a straight boxer to take on a well rounded mma fighter. Most of the best mma fighters now have college wrestling backgrounds. They then push for other disciplines(ju-jit-su, karate, boxing, shoot fighting, and others).

 

Man did anyone catch the BJ Penn-Matt Hughes fight. That was one of the most impressive ground fights I have ever seen. BJ had Matt in a leg triangle choke for over a minute and Hughs wouldnt give up, and even got out of it right at the bell. Penn, impressed me alot. Great fighter.

Hughs is the man, no quite in him.
Cant wait to see the rematch.

I'm sorry I missed that one, sounds like a good fight. I knew Hughes would win because "a country boy can survive".

I cannot wait for the Iceman to take on Silva from Pride. Those guys are both killers and it will be a great fight.

 

The Shamrock/ Ortiz fight is on Oct 10th, right? And i believe its free on Spike TV.
