Talking about boxing, Muhammad Ali once took on a japanese wrestler in Japan, can a boxer beat a wrestler type thing. This was toward the end of Ali's career. The wrestler lay on his back and kicked Ali's legs, hurt him pretty bad.

about the japanese wrestler & ali. the wrestler didnt fight a fair fight. he spent most of his time on the floor trying to kick ali in the legs. he must have got some kicks in because clay had to spend some time in the hospital due to blood clots.[they made joyce gracie take off his gee in the hughs fight.that put the advantage to hughs.]

I agree regarding Ali, ref should have made the wrestler stand up.
I really like Gracie, just a tough-as-leather, nice guy. I met his dad once, same way.
Didn't get to see him and Hughes. Was it one-sided, went the distance, Hughes too strong? Gracie should have been allowed to keep his gee. That's his martial art, using his gee and legs.
Seems to me I remember Gracie fighting guys that out-weighed him 50-60 lbs, am I dreaming?
Our PC city of Denver will not allow UFC in the city limits. Man!
