If you use a good brand Super (Mobile 93 etc..) they have more stabilizers built into the formula already and will last longer than regular octane grades.

You should use Sta-bil or an equivalent gas stabilizer in anything that's going to sit for more than a week. I work at a marina and last year after a boat would sit for 2 weeks or more, they'd bog out. Turns out the new gas, well new a few years ago, turns into something that resembles sand in the fuel filter. The guys changed over 100 of them last season. This season, we got gas delivered that already has stabilizer in it. It was the same price and we hardly had to change any fuel filters. Mostly people that gased up other places. I always put it in the quads, lawnmowers, etc if they're going to sit. Money well spent. Not sure if there's other brands that are better, but there might be.

I never use a stabilizer...not that I am right or anything.
