I grew up playing football, basket ball and track all the way through college. I even played some semi-pro for a couple of years. But, I am starting to hate basketball now because all it has become is jungle street ball. That is why we can't win playing the Europeans anymore. They play true team basket ball and not this jungle street ball crap.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

the only reason b/c we lost the few times we have lost is b/c we arent playing our best teams! they dont want to play in the summer! as far as talent goes the nba has much more talent. hell in europe the three point line is closer, the rules are different, not to mention you have know idea what the refs are saying! "jungle ball" huh? sounds like you might be on the redneck side of the world!!

 

My biggest rif with the olympic team or the summer games team, is they take guys that do not derserve to be there. If you want to win, you have to take all your best guys, like the other countries do. Next time, i would have a spot for tim duncan, and KG. Those are two guys I thought they needed last time.

 

LOL.....now that is funny. I am white and was raised in a black town. 90% of my friends growing up were black. And, most of those friends agree with me in saying it is now jungle street ball. Most of these NBA players and wantabes are ball hogs and practice play ground moves more than fundamentals. And as far as USA having better players, there is no fact to back that up b/c they can't beat the Europeans. If they think they can beat them, then they need to put ther "best" players there, which most of the ones were some of the "best" players the NBA has. Look at the European teams free throw %. The averages are much higher than the NBA. WHY???? Because in Europe they practice fundamentals, not street ball moves.

So, I guess you don't like team ball. I don't enjoy the "me" ball NBA is playing now. Last I remember, there was no "I" in TEAM. Look at the shooting % of the NBA vs Europeans. The NBA % is lower!!! Why??? Because all these guys do is practice dunking and street ball moves to make themselves look better.

 

What is funner to watch, some body shooting, or somebody that could dunk with their waist at the rim. Im all about being entertained at the games and that is the stuff that is fun to watch. Big time dunks, crazy passes and there are plenty of good shooters in the NBA.
