Extreme Hill
#1
I was just wondering if a hill that is like 75 or 80 degrees or more can be climb by a Warrior (or anything for that matter). It is up in the mountain where I live and for all I know only one person has climbed it.

80 degrees? That's a pretty steep hill!
How far does the 80-degree surface continue? A street curb is 90-degrees; however, most quads can climb the short 90-degree slope they provide.
Motorcycle trials riders can climb 90-degree walls about six or eight feet high; the greater mass, lack of suspension travel, and higher center-of-gravity of ATV's provide challenges beyond those of trials bikes.
I won't ask you to try the hill and give us a report. Generally speaking, if a hill is questionable, it ain't worth it. What does your risk-to-gain ratio look like? If you make it, hoo, ray. If you don't, you could be dead or at least in the hospital with a banged-up ATV.
Yet, you decide.

Dont try it! Climbing steep hills is a rush for sure, but on hard pack, where your trying to save your back when things go wrong, you let go of the bars, and that is a very bad thing for YOU! On sand its not so bad cause your back is hitting sand, but still scary as heck.

Oh yeah. We have 400 acres of woods and hills here at my grandmas in WI. We have 90degree hills. Its possible to climb them, you just need to use momentum, and dont try to climb a hill where it just ROCKETS straight up..it has to be a gradual climb to the steepneess.

This might be what he means. The hill starts out kind of steep, then goes REALLY steep. Yeah, I made it up that hill a few times. My friend and I got a few different pictures of me making it too. I haven't seen anybody make this climb besides me. The pic is like 10 years old, and I am sorry I don't have a helmet on. That was when I was younger and stupid(er). http://www.uslink.net/~philzie/b11b.jpg
