We're doing pretty good. (Work for an electrical contractor.) We made some really good money last year ('06) which made up for a terrible '05 (big loss, well for this size company.) Had a couple guys (out of umm 15 maybe) take off for 2 weeks at Xmas by choice. Last year they were on unemployment. We got some good clients with deep pockets and the willingness to spend it on their projects that were/are in urgent need.
Personally I'm "slow" at work. Well just in my normal drafting/design duties. But I've got other projects that are filling in nicely. Able to move forward with some technology "enhancing our capability."

I carve grave stones in the north east... busier than normal for me... Normally I can disappear from Christmas until end of March, because of the weather I've been forced to work nearly 10 hours a week... Woe is me LOL

There is no busy time of year for where I work, seems like we get a bunch of jobs in at once that keeps us too busy for a few months, and then for a few months we are so slow that we do "in house" maintnance or something.
