Three reasons why I wear a helmet:
1. My machine has ran over my head

2. My machine has fallen backwards on me going up a steep hill with rocks not to mention jagged ones.

3. To reduce the amount of slaps I've recieved by my girlfriend for not wearing my helmet.

Get the picture!!!

Hey I will admit I've chucked my helmet a few times, it gets way to hot under it.
Those were also the times I've wailed may head on low tree branches.LOL.

My wife and I have "His and Hers" Polaris Magnum 500s ('99). When we decided to buy them, SHE picked them out... That was one of the (more or less unspoken) conditions when we bought; we had to buy two. She's only about 5'1" and isn't a BIT afraid of the size or horsepower a 500cc quad puts out. She likes the mud more than I do, too.

She picked the Magnum 500 over the Sportsman 500 because it gives a good balance between utility and recreational use. It looked good to me, so we got two of the same.

No regrets!!!

How on earth did I miss this topic?????
Snakes??? I barely missed hitting a snake that wandered on the trail one time. Snakes don't really bother me. Spiders are a different story...
Anyway, at one time I thought buying a quad was THE dumbest idea in the world....NOW I love to hit the trails on my quad!!
You see, 2+ years ago my husband bought a 400ex and taught me how to ride it....he did an excellent job if I may so so!!!!(he says he brought me up too fast and too good though..lol!!)
A 300ex was MY first quad. I then up-graded to a 400ex earlier this summer. I LOVE my 400ex!!!
I love the hills, the jumps, the trails and the mud!!! I'll do the rocks..but it is not my favorite terrain to be honest.
My husband can't go riding without me now!!!! No..he doesn't complain about that!! Honestly...we love to ride together!!! We have a good size group of guys(literally..I am the ONLY female right now)we ride with and I must say..."hats off to all you gentlemen who encourage us females"!!!! The guys we ride with are terrific!!!! I can hold my own on the toughest of trails but they are always looking out for me. Especially my husband!!! I have learned a lot from these fellas...not all of it is good though!! LOL!!
I'm gonna have to check out the sites you linked scramdaddy..I have a pair of Thor pants that are definitly NOT cut for a girl!!!
One more thing...I would love a bouquet of plugs any day!!!! Split fire...SF 416C.
Great topic....
Later all...Sherri

I see a lot of girls who like the 400ex, my girlfriend is considering trading her LT250R for a new yellow 2001 400ex, I think thats cool the LT is kinda getting old.
She has a set of acerbis gear and it fits her great especially the lady conformed chest protector.
Theres only one problem I have with her buying a 400ex, this means I'll need to work overtime to help with the payments, I'm trying to find a shoehorn so I can wedge it between the scrambler and truck.
Keep the tread side down SLB300EX!!!
