Im hoping someone here has sold some tires on Ebay. I have some new take offs from my Grizz (tire on wheel) and wanted to sell them on Ebay. I've sold items before but nothing of this size or weight. I had my local shipping store give me a worst case scenario price. I'm in Pa and I got a price for shipping to Ca, figured Id have my butt covered this way. It would cost 180.00$ to ship FedEx which is the cheapest between them, UPS and DHL. I see other tires that are mounted and shipping is a fraction of that price....what gives? I bought tires on wheels for my Titan last summer and it cost me less to have them shipped, from Ca no less !!!
Anyone have some info that could be helpful?

 

Are you just banding them together in pairs uninflated and sending or boxing them up?

 

The tires are mounted on the stock wheels. I was told I would need to box them, I thought Id just band them uninflated but that doesnt seem to be an option. I didnt think it would be this difficult.

 

it's the size of the box also that makes it more expensive

 

I sold some 21x11x10 sand tires on wheels. I just shrink wrapped them to keep them together and it cost about $40. That was the best way to wrap them so the size isn't so big. Hope that helps.

 

who did you ship with? Id be real happy to be able to ship at that price. Also how far did you ship at that price?
