Oh boy DT,,,, They're gonna be giving you the business over that one.

I'm planning to comment in a little more detail later, but in the mean time I wanted to say amen to:
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> Do you want the government to control the amount of fat you can have in one day because heart disease is a big killer? Don't laugh, this is already being done. </end quote></div>

Yeah, no kidding. Can't get a good meal anymore in this country. Everything is low fat and pumped with chemicals to make it taste,,,, well,,, not as much like crap as I'm sure it did. My grandma lived to 97 eating sausages and porkchops just about everyday of her life and did so with no medication like lipitor n that. Sugar is the real enemy, if you ask me. I want a choice of extra fatty food. I like fat. I don't want to be told what to eat because one day its bad and the next day they say the opposite is bad. I think the jury is still out on whether eggs are bad for you. According to JAMA, doctors are the 3rd leading cause of death in this country. So what do they know? Just let me eat something that tastes good and mind your own business, lol.

Just for the record I never want to take anyones rights away, never want to make more laws, but I will still stick up for what I believe just like all of you. I do believe a helmet can help not all the time but more than not. But that is not up to me to make someone except my kids wear one. And they do.

I say it's your own choice as to whether you wear one or not. Just as it's your widows choice of who they shack up with when you're gone.

But only for the over 18 crowd. Under 18, wear a helmet or watch from the sidelines.

On the food thing, I hope the Gov. does not mess with our rights to eat whatever we want. If they're going to do something, they need to ban certain chemicals or High Fructose corn syrups that acctually cause the health damage. I'm with Randy on the sausage and pork chops thing. My grandparents have all lived long lives. My Grandpa just died last year at 89 and ate Pork, Whole milk from the cow, bacon, beef, and all sorts of fat and greasy food his whole life, and my grandma is still alive living on the same foods at 89. I'm not saying it's great for you but I think the heart disease and other crap is coming from the modern chemicals used for taste or preserving food. Govenment needs to back off a little, and if the Dems get in again that will definately not happen, they'll take over our lives. LOL!

Yeah, one of the most natural foods you can eat is pigs and chickens. We've been doing it for 1000's of years. We only ate veggies when we could grow them or find them in the wild. Pigs n chickens grew year round, they are easy to raise and domesticate, and they reproduce fast. Fish too was a staple food. Beef is probably a little more questionable. I'm sure we hunted grass-feed cattle n buffalo, but I think pigs and chickens were easier. Being a vegan is about the most unnatural thing you can do.

I'm sure we don't have a very long history of waking in the morning and washing off with sodium laureth sulfate, then consuming a bowl of corn starch with tripotassium phoshate drowned in milk from cows pumped up with hormones and antibiotics, then cruising off in a chair going 60mph to sit in another chair until lunch when we have a slice of wheat flour with another generous helping of cornstarch and a layer of meat smoothered in nitrates. Then we come home and nuke a batch of modified food starch with BHA and BHT and take our cholesterol meds before retiring onto a bed of polyester and rayon. LOL.

I LMAO when I see a catfood commercial on tv that has peas n carrots in it. WTF? Cats are carnivores only! When's the last time anyone has seen a cat diggin up a carrot or climbing a corn stalk for a meal? Dogfood maybe is arguable because dogs are more like us, but vegetarian catfood????

This is why I don't want these characters running my life. Intentions might be good, the theory might look ok when painted on the cover of a best-selling book, but I don't want it shoved down my throat until there is a couple millennia of study to back it up.

Makes me wonder about the exercise equipment manufacturers too. I don't remember grandma running on a treadmill drinking bottled water while watching Opra. And I'm sure if she had a bowflex, I would know about it. And I don't see lions n tigers at the zoo running around for exercise. They don't do that in the wild either. They lay in the shade all day licking each other and themselves until something weak, sick, or injured strolls by. Then they run after it, kill it, eat it and go back to lay in the shade again. Monkeys are the same. They sit in the shade playing with themselves and eating ticks n fleas off each other's backs. And nobody here can whup a decent size monkey,,,, I don't care how many hours you spend in the gym.
