Chinese Spark Plug Interchange
#1
Hello,I just joined this site,My name is Kevin and i have read a lot about fellow ATV'ers not being able to find a part # for a quality spark plug for their Chinese ATV.
I would like to help anyone having this problem,I do have access to spark plug interchanges.
In order to help any fellow ATVers, i will need the plug # on the old plug ,The ATV i purchased gave me the wrong plug # on the plate,So i took the OE plug out and was able to get the right plug for this particular ATV.I own a Ko-moto ,hi bird qh 250 st.Thanks to people like 2manytoys,I was able to get my ATV up and running smooth.
If you are going to purchase one of these Chinese ATVS,Here's some input,Adjust the chain before riding,Replace any Nuts and bolts possible with quality ones. Use Blue Lock-tite on all places where you can not install a nut. This is medium strength and will help prevent any nuts and bolts from vibrating out.
Replace the bolt that holds the muffler in place and use a washer.Check every nut and bolt on it ,I found many bolts and nuts missing or loose.
After adjusting the chain , add an extra nut in front of first nut for added protection from vibrating loose.
I hope this will help you before going off into the woods or pits,I know i learned the hard way.
