Wow it's been forever since I've logged back onto this site. Brings back a lot of memories too. I was just looking and I've been a member here for just over 8 years. Heck I even remember how it was before this site even had a forum. It was messages and discussions that were e-mailed to everyone. I remember KNOWSALOT first joining and all the wisdom that he put in from the get go. I also remember LONESTARBANSHEE and his well lonestar banshee that he later sold for a TRX250R just to name a few people. I also remmber Dana Creech's mother being on the early version of the forum (the one that was e-mail) and telling us all how he was going to be an up and comming star.
It's just interesting to me comming back here and seeing how the site has changed. Sadly I recently sold my 300X this past summer to buy a Suzuki GSXR. I kept all my dirt gear so I'm not completely out of the ball game nor to I plan to give it up forever. I just haven't had the time to ride in the past few years because of my job and school. I can honestly say that this site gave me enormous amounts of knowledge. I went from being a snot nosed teenager with a hobby to turning my hobby into a career. This site got the whole ball rolling. I'm now proud to say that I'm a Certified Master Auto Mechanic, Certified Master Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic, and lastly a Certified Master Motorcycle Mechanic. Without this site I never would have taken interest in these things. I'm also a Firefighter EMT but that was something I wanted to do for myself haha.
So to all the young people reading this and even you older folks. Poke around this site and learn as much as you can. College educations cost a lot of money and there's a lot of good free information to be learned here.
