Default Beverage Coolers

Does anyone use a beverage cooler strapped to their racks? Everyone I seem to try ends up breaking the cans I have in the cooler due to the bumpy ride. I need a cooler that may have a little softness to the bottom to help dampen the bumps. Hard or soft cooler it doesn't matter. Anyone have any suggestions?

I never loose a beer even in glass bottle form. The trick is use soft coolers but budgie them tight so there is no movement,"movement" not "bumps" breaks them. When you take a bottle or can out of the cooler the budgie should be tight enough to close the hollow spot it once occupied. I carried a 24 of bottles out of a rought trail in a plastic bag,you just have to add enough budgies so none of the bottles can move.

might use a smaller cooler that you can pack full so they will not move around as much in the cooler. Also when you finish the beverage, put the empty back in so you will keep the cooler full.

You used to be able to get a foam block that had 6 seperate holes for the cans to go in. Or you could get a piece of foam and make it to hold however many cans you can fit into the cooler, but leave room for ice on the bottom and sides. To keep the foam from getting wet you could simply put it in a plastic bag.

I've also noticed that any beverage rides better on the front than the back. There are less bumps on the front and the farther back on the bike something is acts like a whip. I just use a soft cooler like TLC with a ton of bungees. Or... I take a back pack and carry more than my own stuff.
