Default Street Legal in Indiana

I recently got a motorcycle license plate for my Polaris Sportsman 500. To do it in Indiana, I had to get a body change form from the BMV (IN.GOV/BMV) and declare that I was changing my vehicle from an AT (all terrain) to a MC (motorcycle). You have to install turn signals, horn, dot tires, and a mirror then get a police officer to sign the form approving the changes. There are several companies offering 14" aluminum wheels. I used steel wheels and machined them to fit my Polaris then put car tires on it.
The 1st BMV I went to (Decatur) told me to get lost, so I went to the one in New Haven, IN and they ran it right through. I know of 2 other people who have done it at the New Haven branch, one as a MC the other as a truck. The truck guy had to put a seat belt on his. I anyone has questions e-mail me at neilternet@yahoo.com or call me at 260-623-3017.

Sorry but thats funny as hell. If I did that here in Arkansas, I,d be gettin stoped every 5 min.
As it is now I see mainly utility 4x4's, all kinds just going the side of the road & the cops around here are use to seeing them so they don't get bothered much. Heck of a lot of farm land around here..
