Default GPS for an ATV

Does anyone have a GPS for an ATV? If so, what kind do you have and is it useful? If it is useful would you recomend a different brand or model? Please give me some feed back. Thank you.

Lowrance H2Oc, chip it with lake maps if your an ice fisherman. Build maps on your puter for your riding areas, etc. Mines is on the wheeler year round, from freezing rain, snow, -30 to muddy conditions...it's been great.

Any of the main players make good GPS's these days, but I wouldn't purchase one that doesn't accept chips, be it of lake structure(ice fishing) or buildable maps. The map building software is great if your a hunter, map out stands, deer trails, atv trails and overlay them on a topo map. This really allows you to see corridors or funnels for potential deer movement.

Regardless of your choice, the RAM mount is the best there is for mounting it to your bars. Allows you to swivel it in any direction, the mount is tough and the cradle that holds the gps is tough and holds it strong.

How can that possibly help? I see moss growing on all sides of trees.

I have an OLD Garmin GPS12 with a R-A-M handlebar mount made just for that model. If I ever get a new GPS it will likely be another Garmin. When I got it the nearest competing Magellan cost $150 and wasn't as good as this $100 Garmin. I also carry a compass that can't accidentally be demagnetized.
