Helmet Problem
#1
Has anyone experienced the annoying problem of lip wind damage and constant dry mouth apparently from the flow of air through the little air scoop at the mouth piece of a fullface MX helmet? I have a cheap Bell helmet and have this problem in 65 degree weather. On occasion I have ridden w/o the helmet and didn't notice any windburn or constant running back to the car for a drink. After the weekend, I have to apply medicated chap stick all week long to heal my lips.

I get the same thing, I just folded and stuffed a full sized peice of paper towel into the largest (center) vent in the chingaurd and it works great. I wouldnt use tape as with the paper towel you can at least remove and reinstall it if you need to, Doubles as a cleaning rag for the goggles too
Chewing gum also helps with the dry mouth syndrome from riding in dust, just make sure you take a couple of peices as it tends to get a little gritty!
