There are many things that will take off surface rust. Most types of metal rubbing compound will take off rust to an extent. Go to any auto parts store and you will probably find a few different things make by companies like 3M.....

Where exactly is this rust on the shocks? A shock is not really a good place to have rust in any location.....

As long as its surface rust its not a big deal. It should wipe off with any metal cleaner. But if they are very rusty I'd replace them......

You can spray the metal parts of your ATV with WD-40 or something that displaces moisture after you wash it. This will keep those metal parts from corroding and rusting.

I have the same prob. White paint so the rust sticks out like a sore thumb. It'll happen over time. I don't worry much. Just clean it from time to time and careful with it after gets wet.

Thanks! Need update pics. Not much changes but it's off the 18" rims now and I removed the # 4 sticker because I don't race.
