another key for ATV

Default another key for ATV

Hi,wondering where I can get another key for my 2009 Honda Foreman 500.
Can I get one of these madeat the local hardware and feed or is it something I have to get from Honda?

If it's like my old Honda motorcycle key and also Polaris atv keys,it should have a number on the key referencing a certain key blank.Usually dealers only have the blanks(some good locksmiths may also have em) and you can then have it cut to the original key.

Like OPT mentioned, a local locksmith would be my first stop. If they don't have it, call the dealer and get a price. Then I'd check ebay for prices on blanks too. Once you have that, you can take it back to a key cutter and they'll set you up.

our local locksmith needed 1 hr and i had 2 keys made. total cost:$15 and i was back to riding.

I contacted a local locksmith and in 20 minutes he had me 4 copies for $12.00
Got home and tried them and none worked.
He drove 15 mile one way and tried them in machine till they were right.
Absolutely would not let me pay him any extra!

now that's a business man i would brag on, send business to, and would use again. wow, customer service, whodathunkit nowadays. that, my friend, is almost unheard of. you must live in a "smaller" community and not a metroplex.

Your suppose to bring the ignition to the key smith, then he goes from there. Ignition come out and go back in to bikes/ATVs pretty easily.

When I called him he wasn,t but about 3 minutes from me at a hardware store.I didn,t know this and he didn't mention it.
Just told me to bring the key and come on to the store.
Yea guys I live in a small town .
There are some good people left in this mean ole world !
You can better believe I will recommend this young man to any and all !
