2001 Honda Foreman 4x4
#1
Just got my first Honda it's a 2001 Honda Foreman 400 4x4
The stupid question I have is this a full time 4x4? The reason I ask is there is no way to engage the four wheel drive, I have looked online and no answers and have no owners manual. I have been a big Polaris guy but have to admit its nice not to have to mix my fuel now!

Honda did not have a selectable 2wd/4wd until 2003. There was a aftermarket kit (Warn 4-2-4 kit) to change it over Anyone Interested In Warn 4-2-4 Select---Read This - Honda ATV Forum not sure if they still make them since they really only catered to Honda because most all ATVs had selectable 2wd/4wd from the start.
What Polaris mixed gas? Most are all 4strokes and the older 2 strokes were oil injected.

I had a bad experience with one of my Polaris's in the past, the injector stopped pumping the oil into the gas, and we was riding in the snow, burnt a hole into the piston no light came on so from then on I always premix the fuel myself.
So are you stating the 4wd stays on under low speeds or is it a AWD confused? Thanks

The 2001 Forman is constant 3x4 (no diff lock option) at all times at any speed.
I had a 2001 450es Forman but you really could not feel you were in 4wd at all times and handle and steered ok to me.
I only notice on pavement.
