The name Jiger is all but lost upon ATV society today but in this week's feature we remind that these guys were the ones who officially started it all:

I've heard of some different brands of amphibious ATVs but Jiger wasn't one of them. Wikipedia has a page on them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiger_(AATV)

You may not recognize these two characters at a glance but there's a good chance you've dealt with them before - especially if your ATV has ever seen a racetrack:

This week we're pulling back the curtain on the brand responsible for a lot of other brands you may have encountered:

Our local Big R ranch store has a couple Hisun side by sides on their store floor. I've looked them over and they seem pretty well built. They are UTV side by sides with a roof and dump box. Nice interior bench seats, single cylinder engine and CVT of course with a two speed box. Would deliver hay to the horses out in the pasture.

Probably one of the better Chinese made machines, parts can be had with a little effort. Earlier models had weld issues with suspension parts. Priced good but part availability is still an issue but getting better. Also sold by cabela's under Coleman name but Cabela's is dropping them due to many warranty claims and parts availability. They do have a website for help among owners, also sold at Family Farm and Home and at tractor supply at one time.

I checked the HISUN store locator on their website and there's a place about 50 miles away that sells HISUN and a couple other brands of UTVs but no ATVs of any brand. The next closest dealer listed is just over 90 miles away and doesn't sell their ATVs or UTVs. The next closest after that is almost 120 miles away in Indiana at a place called Rural King. I never heard of it but when I checked their website it says they sell HISUN ATVs and UTVs. They recently opened a store just over 25 miles away and they may or may not sell HISUN ATVs and UTVs. If they are a dealer HISUN doesn't know it.
