I had a very heavy heart recently, my best friend died of a brain aneurysm at only 22 years old. I was a devestating blow but I accepted the fact the **** happens and I moved on. I didnt need somebody/thing elses help because I'm strong on my own.

You will never understand how we feel and we'll never understand why you chase something you cant know exists. This topic is retarded, we can prove with facts how babies are made. I assure you that the virgin mary wasnt. Its just not possible (unless you believe in a tale, not that its bad, I just dont). You cant however, prove that there is a god.

You seem to think that I want to convince you god exist, thats not true, you will find out he does on judgment day just like everyone else. However you have an extreme need to convince me he doesnt exist, you might want to ask yourself why.You have convinced yourself that a real man handles his own problems and I couldnt agree more, god helps him who helps himself.Try opening your mind to the fact that there is more in this universe than a mere mortal could ever understand and There has to be a higher power and you to will find god

I posted this topic over three weeks ago. So far, there have been 879 viewes and 60 posts. The only thing I have seen, which has surprised me, is the number of believer's who have replied! Many more than I expected! We have seen a sampling of all the different kinds of people we already knew existed in this world. To those christians out there, I say keep the faith, and thanks for your support! Not of me, but of our God and our savior, Jesus Christ. For those who choose not to accept, nor acknowledge God, He loves you anyway. And, as long as you are in this world, there is still the hope of salvation for you. I would not attempt to judge anyone, that is not my duty. The apostle Paul said, "It is a small matter to me that any man judge me, for God is my judge." How true. God is the judge of all of us. He has given us all free will. The bible speaks of those who have chosen to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, rather than the riches of Heaven for eternity. You can have a good life, and enjoy this sport we have all chosen, among others, and still look forward to peace forever with the Lord. If this forum has opened the eyes, spirtualy speaking, of one lost soul, it has been well worth the effort of all those who have spoken up for the Lord. Brothers, keep up the "good" work! Who knows, maybe we can help one another, or just "visit" from time to time! May God bless and keep you all. And may He see fit to bless the U.S.A. in our time of trouble. Take care, ride, and enjoy the blessings God has given us all! Good night. Jim

You see Bear, I feel the same way as you. I cant understand why you wont open your eyes to the fact there isnt a god. See what I'm getting at? We've touched on a subject that has no right or wrong answer because nobody can answer it. You dont know a god exists, you have faith a god exists. I dont know a god doesnt exist, I have science to rule it out. Its the same difference really, get it?

I read somewhere that the majority of the US believes in your god (I think it was 57%). It shouldnt surprise you that a large portion of this forum feels the same way.

How can you religious type look at the proof of evolution and not accept it. I studied parapsychology and let me tell you it is all bull. There has never been one miracle or one ghost or one person moving object with their mind that has been studied by scientist and deemed legit. Not one! It is all hokus pokus to take your money and control you. When you die you die, you are no more than an intelligent animal, but you can't accept it.

We have proof of evolution, bones from different stages of mans' developement that you could hold in your hand and touch. What do you have,a book and a piece of cloth (the shroud)that carbon dates back only 500-600 years when Jesus was supposed to have died 2001 years ago.

As for people feeling god, the feeling in the heart, the happiness. I get the same feeling when a hot girl looks my way or when I play my favorite music, it's all in your head. Your brain releases seritonun and dopamine when your hear, see or in some cases think about something you like, this effects everyone differently, some become addicted to the feeling and believe it's god. I have explored this for years and have come to the conclusion that I could pretty much explain most things with science.

trx250rob... there always has and always will be a debate as to whether God (an all knowing, all powerful creator) exists. As a person who believes in God and who has studied many schools of thought regarding our arrival on this planet, incuding evolution, I have yet to have science answer 2 questions.
1- in a complete vacuum where nothing exists, how does anything living spontaneously begin.
2- how do the scientists who propound the theory of evolution rationalize the mathmatic impossibility.
As a side point I just want to let you know that the feeling you get from looking at a hot girl is NOT the same as you get when you think about God.

Whats mathmatically impossible? I know one thing is and thats the fact that the planet is only around 5000 years old. How was this planet a complete vacuum? You think its more logical that, woo-woo blam, there's a planet for you and woo-woo blam, there's a man and woman.

They have found living organisms on the planet Mars as well. How did they get there?

This whole thing is so Hitler'esque. Your "right" (or saved or whatever other word you want to use) and everybody else is wrong. The Chinese, they're wrong. The Arabs, they're wrong. Us crackers are believing that our religion is right. They believe they're religion is right. What makes yours more accurate than yours? You see, in the skeem of things what you hold to be true is only a fraction of the religious beliefs of the entire planet. I dont see how you could be the only ones that know this?

Like I said, if it works for good. It just doesnt do it for me though. I ask you one small favor. Remember this day and when we die if I for some reason end up at the pearly gates and am denied access remind me of this. Dont be bashful, just say "I tried to tell you." Theres only one way to find out...
