300ex Rebiuld !!!
#1
I am considering some sort of a rebiuld overhaul this winter.. I found some (ok alot) or mud and water in my airbox the lst time I cleaned it. I know my valves need
to be adjusted.. and I would like to just kinda go over everything and check it all out. I now I should probally bore and get a kit, but money situation doesn't
allow for that !! everything will stay stock, unless I come across something that I have to replace, and makes sense to do motor work or whatever.
I just would like to know how difficult it all is and about the cost of replacement parts that I will deffinitly need (seals and gaskets, stuf like that). Is there
a rebiult kit out there.
Is there anything That you guys reccommend i do while I have it all apart..
I think I am going to do the frame and all.. i hope to anyway !! thinking about the powder coating !! This sounds like a real project !!! It is, I think !!!
Thanks for the input in advance !!!!

Well you said you didn't have much money & you never said if you new how to rebuild a engine.A cam valve springs hardened rockers piston exaust & rejetting realy will wake one up.I did this this past summer with no problem, but I work on cars for a living. If you plan on doing all of that it will be less that $800. I have no idea what it would cost to pay someone to do it.If you would like to know where I got my parts or What I used let me know.Firts step is a good manual.Good luck Daryl
