What is the deal here? I liked the old, old system, and was just barelt getting used the the new, old system. I wish you would decide on a format and leave it alone.

 

Well, with over a million page views a month there is no way we're going to please everyone. There are just to many people with an opinion. The best we can do is provide a service that the majority of the people like. From the response we've received, it sounds like we have accomplished that. I'm sorry you don't like the new system. However it is SO similar to the old one that I would be very surprised if the transition isn't an easy one for most people.

 

IT doesn't take a genius to firgure out how this system works! If you wanna change your profile, you got to profile, if you wanna post, you click reply, etc! Its really not the different! Dave, who makes this forum? I mean like what is hte Brand like the other one was Ultimate.

The original system was written by www.cfboards.com. However, we made extensive, extensive modifications to the system. The modifications included:

1) An option for you to receive email notification of replies.

2) Threaded views of messages.

3) Modified navigation structure.

4) Bad message notification.

5) Verity search system (better searches)

6) Performance enhancements

7) Ban user option (next to each post)

8) Admin controlled profanity filtering

9) Provision for an external security system

10)Extensive bug fixes

Many of the changes we made were to accomodate the requests of you who use this bulletin board system.

www.cfboards.com is waiting for us to send the new system to them so that they can incorporate the changes I wrote into the forums software which they sell.
