I am looking at buying a pressure washer. I am trying to decide between the Campbell Hausfield and the Karcher. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Are their accessories interchangeable? I was thinking about getting the Karcher when I read the article posted on the main page here. Now I am trying to decide which is a better brand if that is the case?

I have a Campbeell Hausfeld that I bought at Lowe's Home Improvement store. Cost was $288 on sale. 6HP/1500psi. Very happy with the unit. Don't know RE: parts interchange, sorry. Just be careful where you aim that jet! You can do lots of damage, if you aren't careful. I have used them for years. Couldn't imagine cleaning a dirt bike or quad with anything else!

I've had a couple of the electric ones int he past. I can't remember the last one but the motor burned up after a few years of hard use. The Campbell Hausfield I have now works OK, has a handle to wheel it around and a quick disconnect for the garden hose. The bad thing is that it only has the stupid spinning nozzle which isn't good for everything. Get a cheap electric one and it will do more than you think. I think mine is 1300 or 1500 PSI and for the quads and other cleaning it does great. Just becareful what you aim these things at. It will rip your stickers off very easily and keep it out of your bearing surfaces.
