Bridge Pictures
#1
Everyone,
Our riding group is planning to build some simple bridges across some samll creeks (up to 8 feet across) to allow some wifes, and less experienced riders to complete some trails. We are looking for some inspiration. Our goal is to use downed trees, and to cut some green trees for the bridges. We will probably use nails or rope to hold everything together.
Any advice would be appreciated. Pictures would be great, please e-mail or point me in the right direction.
All help is appreciated.

One thing you could do is to get a 12-16" diameter pipe and use it as a "horn" and lay it in the creek, so that the water flows through, then take your logs or tree trunks and lay them across the horn, connecting the two banks together and forming a wall out of the logs, then throw dirt and debris in between the two "walls" until it's filled up so that the level of dirt is about even or a little higher than that of the two banks. If you have further questions, email me and I can help you out or suggest a few other options, I've built quite a few "bridges" around my farm to get across all of the washouts and creeks.
