Snatch Blocks
#1
Don't know if any of you are in need of a ****** block, but if so, I would highly recommend this one. It is made by Superwinch, and has a 9,000 lb. rating. It utilizes a 3" pulley, and total length, including hook, is right around 6". It's relatively small size makes easy to fit in the tool box, without taking up too much room, and is fairly light weight. You can choose from 3/16", 1/4" or 5/16" groove to match your specific winch cable. Part number is SW 2423 and sells for $31.95 plus $5.50 for shipping, delivered UPS second day air, totalling $37.45. You can call AW Direct at 1-800-243-3194. Service was excellent. They knew exactly what I wanted and shipped it out that day. It was delivered on time, with a full catalog and key chain. AW even sent an email a day later asking if I had received my purchase, and if I was happy with it.
All in all, if you are in need of a good pulley block, I would highly recommend this one. Had first hand experience with it this weekend in fact. I was following Dad, plowing through a bunch of snow when he dropped into a small pond, with nearly 2' of ice cold water. Luckily I was behind him, and was able to winch him out. The block wasn't really needed, but since I had it I figured I should try it. Dad has since decided he is trading in his extended warranty, for a new winch! The block worked great and AW's service was excellent. Hope this helps.
