I looked over the web allot, even at the bikes I new I would not buy because they where across the country. Basket cases go for about $400-$600.
Most sell between $800-$1200. I gave $1300 just because it is so clean and has very low hours, plus the guy would not budge on price. Like anything used its all about how it was taken care of. Im still curious what a bw200 sold for new back in 86. I have yet to find it on the web.

In-laws have a Fat Cat that looks like new. I have put hand full of miles on it. If you can hold on it will go there. They are deffinatly different to ride. My son-in-law wants to buy it but they wont sell it and he is the only one that has ridden it in years. The also have a 1980 Suzuki 175, the tires made a great suspension. 3000 miles and runs like new. And they also have a 2000 Traxter. A different garage full.
Good luck on finding one. I don't see them often but come across a couple on the trails every year.

Hello...I was searching for fatcat related items and came across this forum...I have a 87 Fatcat...I got it at a yardsale for $250.00 a couple years ago...The guy that was selling it didn't know what he had.....But I did...It is great ...Lots of power and low end torque...I don't understand what rangerover said about " but doesn't climb well at all in the soft stuff " I have had that bike all over the mountains of Northern Calif where I live and never had a problem...I have 15 Honda Motorcycles 3 wheelers and 3 Odyssey's and it is by far the most fun to drive except for the Odyssey's...
Just thought I would put my 2 cents in ...If you can find one BUY IT....They only made them in 86 and 87...

Oh man, if you want me to get nostalgic in a hurry just bring up the Honda FatCat. They were only made in '86 and '87, and I think they sold for about $1800. My Dad bought a new '87 model in early '88 and liked it so much for checking irrigation that when he heard they stopped making them, he decided to get a spare. Well he couldn't find another new Honda, so he got a Big Wheel and parked it for use after he wore out the Honda. That didn't last long. Soon I was riding the FatCat everywhere and he had the Big Wheel. They were ridden pretty much every day for years, and we put them through the toughest conditions you can throw at any bike. We wore them out just about simultaneously in the mid '90's. Both of those bikes are still sitting out near a fence at home on the farm. They're both electric start with backup kick starters. The Honda was a better runner, but the Yamaha had a better suspension for jumping. You'll like you're BW, though I'm more partial to the FatCat because it was pretty much mine, and we could not keep a front chain on that Yamaha.
Someday I want to get a 350X and put a single rear tire on it. Everyone I mention that to thinks I'm nuts, but they've never ridden a FatCat or BigWheel.
