Default Big Wheel or Fat Cat

I had a brain storm that I wanted a new toy. I have always wanted a Yamaha Big wheel. I started looking for one and they seem to be hard
to find. I would like an old 1986 or 87, I cant remember how long they
made them. I have never rode one. Would it be worth they effort to hunt
one down and fix er up?

Heres another one that I don't recall the name of but it was made by Honda and it was kinda like a cross between a quad and a dirtbike. I have only seen one of these about 5 years ago. I thought it kinda looked odd.

Its a dirtbike with big ATV tires. Is that a fat cat?

Here is a picture of the Honda Fatcat, and here is a Yamaha Big Wheel.

They both look interesting. If I could find one, I'd probably seriously consider it. I also like the Yamaha TW200. In Japan they have a 225 version of this bike. Now if they were smart they'd make a 300 or larger version so big guys like me wouldn't feel so silly on them!

Pechmial,

Thanks for finding those pictures. The Honda is what I saw. I would have swore the tires were bigger but you know how your perceived image in your brain appears after time.

I have never seen or heard of the Yamaha big wheel.

Thanks for the info. Im glade some of you think its an ok bike. I have a
12 year old that has a hard time thinking Im still cool. Im going
to keep looking for one, I think it would be allot of fun to fix one
up. We ride almost only in the woods and I could see myself busting
the trails with other 4 wheel atv,s and not having the problems you
find when an atv and dirt bike ride trails together.
Thanks & Happy Trails

My friend has a Fat Cat, and I have ridden it quite a bit (right off a fresh rebuild). It is great fun, but doesn't climb well at all in the soft stuff. I think the fat tire distributes the weight over such a large area, that there isn't enough pressure per square inch to get good traction. Just my guess. It is however a fun bike for playing on mild terrain. Women seem to really like the bike, so if you are looking to pick up...............
