Yea the Avanlanche and the Aztec are such POS! Its funny, dodge and ford were out before GM and Chevy got together, but it seems GM is the biggest Auto Industry in the world.

GM and Chevy bought out Olds, buick, caddy, ETC you know how they got the money to do it? Chevrolet baby!
Dont get me wrong I respect Ford and Dodge, they make great trucks Just dont talk about something thats such a POS when its outselling alot of things out there. The Avanlanche is a nice truck and yall say its nothing but plastic, what the hell car or truck dont have plastic?

 

The Avalanche does have a lot of ugly plastic bodywork on it but thats not what I would worry about when it comes to buying a new truck. What I look for is power and towing capacity. you cant get much better than an 8.1 v8 that will pull 12000lbs. If you dont like the plastic rip it off, theres sheetmetal underneath it.

The bottom line is I'd rather have power than looks.

8.1L gas?? good god!

 

The 8.1L Vortec is a very nice engine producing power and lots of torque, but i would rather have the 6.6L Duramax Diesel.

 

I love chevy trucks but i hate the duramax. If you are going to buy a diesel get a dodge with a cummins turbo diesel straight 6 motor. How many V-8 diesels do you see in big rigs........not many. How many straight 6 diesels do you see in big rigs......a LOT, and a lot of them can have close to a million miles on them.
