GPS Accuracy

Here's the url for the program in my area working with the Forestry Dept. If you don't have such a program in your area, use ours as an example (and an argument) to start one. Once underway, solict as many commercial/private sponsors as possible for the Adopt-A-Trail program. Honda and Macolm Smith Moto are some of our bigger sponsors, but I've been able to convince FWD and Quad dealers to take interest. I encourage all concerned to to look at how this program works and get involved. Check out the Host program too. Thanks
BTW, I'm new to the board and it seems these posts might be more effective under a more appropriate subject heading. Do we simply start a new thread or ???

Defently start a new thred about the trails
I just took my garmen GPS III and eagle exploer out on the deck and at a perfect lock the altitude is still scrambled but the possition is accurate. My altitude is 1100 feet but both GPS's counted to 1300 then down to 900 and back up.
at least the position is fixed

The accuracy is a great deal better. Here is an example one of my way points is a highway along the Columbia river. The old waypoint when plotting the longitude & latitude was in the river! This past weekend took another waypoint reading, plotted it out now I am on the road!
I like this accuracy!
