chain/sprocket confusion!!!
#1
I bought a chain and sprocket set from sidewinder, and I'm having some problems with the length of the chain. I started with a 41 rear, and a 14 front, and had no troubles. I try to put a 13 front on, and it will be way to tight if I take out a link, but if i don't the adjustment is all the way back, and a little loose. if i go to a 12 I have to take a link out, but the chain is so tight I don't feel comfortable riding with it.. does anyone have any pointers?? Thanks!

I also put a 13 tooth on with my stock chain and it is adjusted all the way and still loose. I am going to go ahead and get a 42 rear and see if that tightens mine up the right amount. With 22 inch rears I can afford to go down a little more on the gearing.

Thanks for the input guys.. I called sidewinder to see what they recommended, and the answer is either tighten the hell out of the chain, or ride with it a bit loose.. They don't make a half link for their chains, and neither does anyone else.. oh well. They told me that normal tension is about 1.5 inches, and that is what i'm at. They also claim that their chains will NOT stretch, so being all the way out shouldn't be a problem.. I guess i will see!!! Does anyone know if anyone makes a case saver for Banshees??
