Trail Tech, is it worth $78 ??

It's hard enough to see your speed when your going 70 mph down a gravel road, you're floating, and feeling alittle loose, now trying to do it at night!!! Ya, just kidding around, thats pretty trick backlit, even though I don't do alot of night riding, still cool.

I see you used 1755 as your setting. I used 1676, which it listed as a 22 inch tire for the Honda. Did you measure your tire like they showed in the instructions ?

The mm circumferance of a 22" tire is actually 1755.52mm. 22" x 25.4mm/" = 558.8mm diameter x 3.14159 = 1755.
1676 would be for a 21" tire.

I think this model is back lit, isn't it?....... who reads instructions?? heheh
tmm2good.. yeah they tell you to sit on it and measure blah blah blah.. but I figure once I'm going at a good clip, I'm not really putting any pressure on the front tire.

ok im looking at these on rocky mountain, and see the computer itself for like 80 or so bucks....now is this JUST the computer and hook ups? or does it come with the mount as well?
i ahve seen the handlebar brackets for various handle bars (even for trailtechs own handlebars) but they are like another 120 or so bucks....
does the 80 dollar speedo kit come with a mount?
(ive seen people mount it on the handlebars on an angle but that kind of annoys me...havin the screen facing one way or another...)
i will be mounting this on a ds 650 baja so i dont know if i could do the "fender mount"
any help is appreciated on this one

I comes with a mount. Look at where I have it mounted in my pictures. I used the clamp on mount that came with it. If you want the billet protector that mounts to your handlebar mount, then that is extra.

Vforcerider, placing pressure on the tire doesn't really change the rolling circumference anyway. The most acurate way to measure the rolling circumference would be to mark the tire and rolling surface (road, driveway or whatever) and then roll the machine for one complete revolution of the tire. Then mark the rolling surface again and measure the straight line distance travelled. Either measure that in mm, or in inches and convert to mm. All 22" tires differ in actual size slightly based on manufacturing tolerances, so IMO the rolling method is the best.

As for the mounting, I mounted the computer on the clutch side of the handlebars using the supplied handlebar clamp. I'd have preferred to have it in the centre of the bars, but I couldn't get a convenient place to mount since the Warrior doesn't have a very good dash. I also wanted it to have some protection. It's really easy to install, and the unit is quite small, so it doesn't take up a lot of realestate on your machine.
