Make sure your gaskets are sealing and there are no other air leaks.

I just installed the delta's myself and am going to try 270's. I was going to run 290's but since I finally got everything back together and running it smokes alot on 280's. I haven't done a plug check yet, will have to wait for saturday. I have been running 50:1 yamalubeR with 110 octane from sunoco. What ratio are you running with what gas?

Vision, those are pricey.. I wanted to confirm a step on the installation with you.. When you put the washer between the manifold and the stock reeds and cut those tabs off the manifold if you still had a little bit of the tab left? That is was the cut you made flush to the mounting face of the manifold or was there a little tab left? I had a little bit left..

it would have been but i took razor knife and trimmed it all the way flush.i just wanted to make sure i had a good fit.and also i wasn't to thrilled about having to cut it in the first place. the deltas did help my bike a bunch in the mid and some on top.good luck with your bike.
