Steering damper, worth it?

I used to use one when I was flat tracking. I raced for 1/2 a year without, then installed one. What a difference! I could finish the race with no shoulder/arm fatigue -- before the stabilizer I would get arm pump and my shoulders would be tight about 1/2 way thru a heat race.
For high speed riding/racing, I don't think I go without ever again. I've also talked to some guys who have run them in the woods and said they worked well there too, but I haven't tried it myself.

A damper is one of the best mods that can be put on a quad. You were correct in buying one that is rebuilbable. We have found out from racing that the oil inside breaks down just like the oil inside a skock. The damper will help you in many places when you are riding. One is when you are riding straight and the tires are hitting little bumps, the damper will keep the wheels from darting to one side. Also, when making a turn and the tires hit a rock or something it will stop the wheels from changing directions. At the end of the day you arms and shoulders will not be as sore as before. The damper stops the twiting of the bars, which makes you lest tired.
