I just got a 2000 300Ex in good condition with low hours for $1900.It has an FMF pipe an aftermarket axle,rear holeshot tires and a K&N filter.it had the rear axle bearings out thats why it was so cheap.What other mods can I get for under 500 bucks to make it faster,look cooler ,better handling,etc.Does cutting off the fenders help at all performance wise.Thx

 

Find some 400ex A-arms on Ebay with tie rods. This will widen the front end around 3 inches. If you use the stock shocks it will squat the front down a little, so if you jump a lot you will need to find some 14 inch shocks, or get the the 400ex shocks and a lowering kit. They are 16 inches and too long for the 300ex. I did this to my wifes quad and used the stock 300ex shocks. It handles a lot better. I got the 400ex parts for $75 and sold the 300ex parts for 450, so its a cheap mod. Take the air box lid off and jet up a couple sizes. Cutting the fenders on a 300ex will only change the look.

2 grand for that 300ex wasa good price! I just bought mine for $1850 and it doesnt have that many mods...atleast not yet. I forgot what I was posting for....oh well. But my 6-pack rack was kind of messed up from some wheelies gone bad I think so Im selling it to a friend and buying a new one. Ill be boring it and getting a dual jet kit for it soon too. Got some nerf bars comen and a new bumper also. Itsa sweet quad...my friends gotta Warrior and it keeps up until he hits 6th gear and then he passes me up but I still keep up. Hes getting dual jets and his engine bored out too this winter. I forgot what I was gonna say again so Ima just go.
