Leaking Carbs
#1
I have a 97 Banshee, both of the carbs leak out of the overflow if the gas is left on. I have pulled them apart several times to clean them, but they still leak. Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes, the needle and seat (which shuts off the fuel in when the float raises) gets grungy ( like Brandon mentioned), or they get worn.
If you pull them apart, you might be able to see a ridge or pitting on the needle, or the seat (or both!). It won't be real noticeable, but look closely -- even a tiny ridge or a little pitting will allow fuel to leak through.
If you do find pitting or ridges, then replace both the needle and seat.

Check you floats for any possible bending. I just had the same problem on my KX500. Fuel would just pour out like crazy. Still check the float valve needle like Brandon and Pam mentioned but keep an eye out for bending too.. Fellow Banshee owner.
