carb overflow
#1
I got my Banshee adjusted with the new work and the new idle adjustment kit. Finally.... Will be testing this Thursday and running it for the weekend Thanks to Brandon, OhtonRacing, BackCountry, KawasakiKid and Vision and others I can't remember right now.. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a KX500 too that has a carb problem, I am pretty sure it's the float but here it is for confirmation. Fuel just flows from all the breather holes when the fuel is turned on. The floats were a little sticky and I cleaned them and re-checked with them moving better. I am going to check the height and try to adjust if necessary. Question, is there any other possibility that I should be looking for to cause fuel to just pour nonstop from the the two breather holes, bottom of the float, and the side breather.

My vote: the problem lies in the float valve and/or seat; possibly the float itself (e.g., floats punctured and filled with liquid; don't "float"), possibly the float height set too high to ever cut off fuel flow.
Somehow, the float valve is not shutting off when the float bowl fills with fuel.

Actually, I was not refering to the needle, but the needle valve, or float valve. If it has trash in it, it will not shut off the fuel. The floats are a very real possibility. It is going to be one of these two problems.

I got it fired last night with no problems, the KX500 that is. Turns out that the float had a slight bend in the frame. I tweaked it and that was it, it was real slight. It is a amazing how sensitive carbs are.
