How to Make a Warrior Faster
#1
What would be some thing i could put on my quad to make it faster and notice the diffrence. The speed mods I already have are...
FMF Megamax II Exhaust
Jet Kit 42.5 pilot/150 main
13 Tooth Front Sprocket

i dont know if 13T on the front sprocket is stock but go one tooth up; i did on the one i had and mine was totally stock. the warrior has enough to pull a tooth higher there and will give you more top speed.

Two things you don't need to touch on the Warrior until you start modding the engine are:
1. Carb - Warrior stock carbs flow lots of air for the 350CC 2 Valve engine
2. Header - Warrior stock header flows everything you can put through it up to about 435cc +
Improvements for more speed on the Warrior will often times make it "seem" slower because it takes longer to pull that speed (unless you're adding more power). In regards of average top speed, I found that going down one tooth to a 12T front actually increased my average top speed because the bike could speed up quicker. On trails where I could usually only hit around 90km/h with the 13/40 I was hitting 97-98km/h, and faster too using the 12/40.
Something to keep in mind I guess is that engine mods (cams, pistons, filter, etc) while the add more power they do not add more speed, unless you're unable to reach top RPM in stock form. Gearing and power mods will add speed for you. Grimmsniper said it best though .. call/contact Mickey Dunlap. If there's anyone that can make your Warrior fast, it's him!!
Now I'll sit back and monitor waiting for the " sell it and buy a 400EX / Z / etc " post
