Please do not use the forums for personal messages to your friends. An e-mail button is available for that purpose. Thank you.

This may be true, but I have personally tried to modify my e-mail numerous times and have been unsuccessful. Maybe these two are in the same boat and this is the only way these two participants can communicate.

If you try and e-mail me via my e-mail button, you go straight to my old e-mail address. Therefore, I never receive e-mails from anyone responding to my Threads.

I have e-mailed "ATVBBS" several times requesting help, but all I ever get is a message on how to Modify my profile. Well guess what??? I cannot modify my e-mail address via this system. Quit sending me this same message and help me!

Maybe 409LongRod is in the same group that I am in and cannot get his e-mail address modified either!

Hey ATVTBBS, please update my e-mail address to:
rob4092@home.com PLEASE!!!!!!

I don't think that was a personal add at all. I was posting a reply to a question the other person had posted several days ago in regargds to a guy this person was trying to locate. I posted it to the forum because other people in past weeks have asked for the same information.

Rob, I have to agree with you. I recently switched ISP's and have tried numerous times to change my e-mail address listed on my profile.

ATVBBS: Please change my email address from ATVRacerX2@aol.com to jsofko@salsgiver.com

Looks like ATVBBS opened a can of worms for himself here . Maybe that'll teach em to be so gripey about such a small "infraction", seems to me that it takes more effort to delete that post and put up that little message than it merits. In many cases, what ATVBBS label's as a personal message gets replies and views from many members that are interested in the question asked, which is extremely valuable to the forum. I have yet to see a thread that is merely idle conversation between 2 people that no one is interested in.

While you're at it, I can't change my e-mail either, please change mine to gellett@earthlink.net -- It won't work for me because my alias starts with a number - which I do not wish to change.

I changed my E-mail address by going to the profile button on the top of the page, then click modify. On the top, it says "*These profile options may be modified HERE*" click on HERE, then make your changes. It then sends you a confirmation code by E-mail.

Retro:

I have tried, [red] numerous times, going to the Profile and Modify buttons,[/red] but they will not modify my e-mail. I get the same e-mail confirmation, but my default e-mail address is never modified!

ATVBBS: Please change my default e-mail address from rob@futureone.com to rob4092@home.com

Thanks!

Rob,
Sorry, I forgot to add this:

After typing in user name and password click modify.
Then in upper right corner is says "OPTIONS" in blue.
Click "ACCOUNT INFORMATION"
Then under MEMBER ACCOUNT, click in the EDIT box.
After you change your address it will send you an E-mail with confirmation code.
