I need some help on a PWC (jet ski) problem. I know this forum is for ATV's but I also know that the guys here can answer pretty much any question. I have a Polaris SLT700 that may or may not have a faulty CDI unit. I wanted to know if anybody here knows of a quick and easy way to test the unit to see if it is properly working. Our local dealership (the sorry people) say it is at least a two week wait just to take it up there and test the unit. Needless to say, its summer and I want it now. If any of you know of a way to test the CDI without expensive machinery please post here or e-mail me. Thanks for your help.

You can test the charge, trigger, secoundary coil with a ohmeter ,if you know the resistance readings, the best way to check the cdi is to swap it with a known goodone.
