airbox question

Default airbox question

I have a 300ex. will cutting holes in the airbox lid make a differance?
could i take the lid off completly?
If i cut holes in the lid or remove the lid wont more dirt get into the box?

NEED HELP!

just take the lid off, maby go up one jet, PS.dont forget to put it back on when you go mud boggin or in water!

yes it will make a big differance if you cut a hole or remove the lid as long as you rejet it.
yes if you remove the lid you will get a little more dirt in it.
just clean the filter more often.

if you rejet it you would just go bigger on the main jet, right?

Yes, I went from a 148 main to a 155 main.
