How to remove blind bearings?
#1
I'm in a process of replacing transmission bearings in a Yamaha Blaster. I know there is a special tool to remove the bearings, because they can only be accessed from one side. (Can't be pushed out, only pulled out). Where can I buy this puller from? Thanks

Dealer. Factory manual should have part numbers.
You could also heat the case in your oven. Often this will work. The alum. case expands from the heat and the bearing will often drop out or be coaxed out with a few light "raps" from a plastic deadblow hammer. I would reccommend that you don't heat them hotter than 250-275 degrees, and then let them cool slowly.

The tool is called a bearing puller, and had three fingers that go down into the bearing so you can grab the backside even while in a "blind" hole. I found one at the local cheap chinese tool store Harbour Freight for about $12 when I was doing a stroker crank in my Warrior. Alot of the bearings can be bought for over 50% the yammy dealer at a local industrial bearing supply house so check into after market bearings to save some bucks.
