Best Mods for a predator??

If you want all around speed, leave the stock gearing in. Get some front rezzi's installed. If you can spring for the $200 Hot Seat intake get that. Otherwise the Ru-1770 slip-on K&N and jet up to 170 main, and 50 pilot. Then ride and have fun.

i would get a pipe too, those are the best power increases all around. I ordered a Curtis Sarks pipe today and they said it will gain 10 HP with the pipe and another 7HP from the jet kit

lamar i dont no what the best is. but i have had real good luck with hpd. i have 12.5 piston, vortex cdi, powermax race pipe, stronger valve springs. all from hpd. i dont ride in water and so i use a clamp on filter, K&N. people has to have lott of mods to beat me its fast. it will destoy a piped banshee. and never had a rappy beat me. some times my buddy gets me of the line with his rappy but i can catch him. getting back to the pipes, i have a white brothers pipe to and i do get more bottom end out of it than i do with the hpd. but mid and top the hpd really comes alive and pulls hard. but i run a 185 main jet that may be why i im so strong in mid to top. i prolly could go smaller on my main and get more bottom. what do you think modquad.

Pro, just run what the plug color tells you. They sure wake up. I know Sparks has good gear, but THE Polaris Predator specialty shop is HPD. Rath has some great working gear too, along w/ Hot Seat. The focus at HPD is on one machine, and one machine only. We all know what they've done for the 400 motors, now that is being applied to the Pred. Others will dispute the claim, but I have a 15.5:1 400 motor that always starts on the first pull, and always pulls very hard. HP is nothing w/o durability.

I have a 2004 500 predator. I put on a DG slip on muffler, KN air filter. It backfires out the exhaust at high rpm. It has a stock 150 main and still seems rich. Any help? Im at 1300 feet above sea level

First off....this should be in the Polaris forum....and as for your jetting issue, you should be at a 172.5, or 170 jet. Maybe a 167.5....
Talk to Doug Nicholas if you want performance, and as Ken said HPD is great too. Those two know the most about the predator and performance. HPD Nicholas Cycle
