ATC 250R with GSXR 600 engine
#1
Hey guys, I've been looking for a forum like this for a while. So here is what I want to do.
I have several 250R's, the one I'm talking about is an 85 ATC, the liquid chassis. I have 3 or 4 spare 99-01 Suzuki GSXR 600 motors. (I'm a dedicated stuntrider and buy up all the used parts I can get!)
I have only one question concerning fabbing this 118 crank HP mill into this frame; how will I get the drive sprocket to line up with the rear sprocket?? Obviously the sportbike engine is far wider!!!
I haven't even measured anything yet, I'm just assuming!

If I were guessing the center of balance is going to be all messed up on the atc. That could be very hazardous considering it is a three wheeler and balance is really a key for the bike. The motor should line up with the rear sprocket or you will have problems keeping a chain on the thing. The only thing you can do is get out your tape and see where everything is going to sit. It is a total custom job so im just with the right amount of time and money everything will work out in the end.

Yah I defintely agree with you! I did forget to mention that the only purpose for this 250R is to haul my stand-ups in and out of the water at the beach! I just want something that looks very trick and sounds hotl!! I never have nay intention of racing it or stuff like that! I guess if i had to, I could offset the motor and weight the left side of the bike some. There is a lot of xtra stuff to go on like the battery, regulators, comp etc. It may work out nice. I just blew the crank and broke the rods in my current Gixxer so I'll use it to line it all up. I'll keep you guys posted if anyone is interested

space out your swingarm sprocket to line up your counter, make shure the chain wont rub the frame.scoot the moter 1-2 inches foward and to the left. try that and go from thier.
