Default Project Drag Quad Possibly

Well I have a 300ex right now im going to end up selling probally, but will end up keeping my Raptor for more of a trail quad. I was watching a banshee run a quater mile in 9.3 seconds... and it gave me a idea to maybe start up a project quad. Im wondering what the price range would be? Would you suggest keeping a Banshee engine, or using a snowmobile or crotch rocket engine? Custom frame or would you suggest using a banshee frame, or a differnt type? Any other advice I would appreciate.

HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO? HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO SPEND? CK PICS 8 & 15 - DRAG PROJECT (MORE MONEY THAN I WANT TO ADMIT) I LIKE WORKING WITH A SHEE MOTOR BECAUSE OF WEIGHT TO POWER & PARTS AND R&D ACCESS

Wow thouse like they costed a good ammount of money. As far as money, Im not quite sure how much i will have avaible, but im guessing it would require me to do it in spurts of when i have cash or not. Also as far as speed i guess as much as i can take. You have any clue what your quads are running the 1/4 or 1/8 mile in? Also do you have a rough estimate of what you spent into your banshee?

I HAVE 3 IN DIFFERENT STAGES OF FAST, A 350 SHEE PORTED BY THE RIGHT GUY WITH A 4 OVER SWINGARM RUNS A 5 SEC FLAT 300 FT WITH STOCK CARBS (THIS BIKE IS VERY AFFORDABLE & WILL SMOKE A LOT OF BIKES AT THE DUNES). THE NEXT STEP IS MY 418 STROKER WITH 6 OVER SWINGARM RUNS A 4.7 SEC 300 FT, THE NEXT STEP IS FOR HARD CORE DRAGS (20K+)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Looks like the 350 is more towards my price range. In terms of dune drags, is a banshee the best choice? Also, did you build yours yourself or did you get your work done?

THE REASON I LIKE SHEE MOTORS FOR THE MONEY YOU CAN GO FASTER. I HAVE MOTOR BUILDERS FOR ALL MY BIKES. JSD RACING FOR SHEE & TVI DS WORKS FOR DS MOTORS, LET A PRO BUILD IT RIGHT SO YOU CAN RIDE WITHOUT PROBLEMS. I WORK ON EVERYTHING ELSE IF POSSIBLE.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
