i realize that i already posted this in the Honda section, i just really want an answer. would it be possible to stick a 6-speed transmission in a 400ex? i figure that adding a sixth gear to the top end would give me about another 10 mph top speed. would the price of a new tranny be more than the equivelant mods to do this? the tranny seems like the easiest option to me. thanx for ne info.

I dont think it is that simple, have you ever seen a quad tranny?

 

The only way that you will get a honda atv 6 speed tranny, is by putting a 250r motor in your 400ex.

 

You would spend a lot less money and actually make it work by just putting a Raptor motor in it. Or a warrior motor. Or Banshee. Or 250R.
