Well you could make about 4 1" holes in your airbox for more airflow however to take benefit of it you would need to rejet the carb which will cost you a few dollars.
Also if you do not ride a lot of mud or rocks then put an extra 1.5LB air in each tire to reduce rolling resitance.

Had a bayou 250 when i lived in louisiana and hatted the thing. I counldnt do nuthin with it. But that is my opinon. I ride a Bombardier DS650 now with mods. Love it.
