Default Suzuki quadracer W/583 Ski Doo motor

I was thinking about purchasing a 1988 suzuki Quadracer with a Ski DOO 583 Rotax motor mounted on it, and use it for drag racing. What should I look for? What should the compression be? What about the clutch assembly? What should I look for? Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like a very interesting set up. I would have many questions with it...starting with, "Who did the work and who set up the engine?" Did you ride it yet? Talk to the owner? It's just such a rare project I don't think I would be of much help other than to tell you to approach this purchase with extreme caution. Good luck!!
